About NGCC
The Network Group for Composites in Construction (NGCC) represents the composites in construction industry in the UK and unites its members in one body. NGCC develops and promotes best practice in the application of fibre reinforced polymer composites in construction.
The group aims to bridge the interface between the composites industry and the construction community, providing guidance, technical support and advice where needed. In order to achieve this, core activities such as networking, CPD seminars, conferences and site visits are a vital part of the NGCC portfolio. In addition to this, and to improve technology and information transfer, an interactive website has been launched as well as a quarterly electronic newsletter promoting members products, services and technology advances to the wider construction community.
Coordination of NGCC moved from BRE to NetComposites Ltd in April 2006. Under the coordination of Dr Sue Halliwell and a dedicated Steering Group NGCC has become the voice for the composites in construction community in the UK.
Representing Composites in Construction in KTNs
NGCC represents the composites in construction industry in UK government funded Knowledge Transfer Networks (KTNs), in particular National Composites Network (NCN), Materials UK (MatUK) and the KTN for the Modern Built Environment.
