The tool is intended to provide a focal point for industrial users for information on the NDT of composite materials.
It provides hundreds of pages of advice on the types of defects that are detectable by particular inspection techniques and give examples of the equipment, procedures, performance and principles behind each technique. There is also an interactive selection tool to help users find the right NDT technique for a specific problem.
This comprehensive tool was created by ESR Technology, QinetiQ and NetComposites, with funding from the UK Government under the DTI’s Measurement for Materials Systems Programme and led by a cross section of users and suppliers of composite materials and testing equipment.
