Composites Innovation

Advances in Materials, Design & Manufacture of Large Composite Structures
4 - 5 July 2012, National Composites Centre, Bristol

Over recent years there has been a trend towards large lightweight structures in many industries including wind, aerospace, construction and mass transit. These structures however, pose considerable challenges to the designer. Material and manufacturing developments mean that fibre reinforced polymer (FRP) composites offer a solution to many of these challenges, exploiting in particular their high strength-to weight ratio and excellent durability properties.

This conference will provide a forum for the exchange of information on this recent trend to large structures and the need for materials, design and manufacturing technologies to meet that demand.

Composites Innovation 2012 builds on the success of the 2010 event breaking new ground by presenting the best quality research and technical innovations alongside detailed case studies demonstrating how to effectively transfer new technologies into commercial applications.
