Advanced Composites the Driver for High Performance Return SETEC 10 Brindisi is the 5th. Technical Conference and Table Top Exhibition of SAMPE Europe, which was launched 1996 in Toulouse focusing the A-380 Programme of AIRBUS. The SETEC Conference of the following years 1997–1999 have been organized and held in Madrid, Augsburg and Filton, all three locations are known as important Developing and Manufacturing Centres of the European Aerospace-Industry. For SETEC 10, Brindisi, South Italy has been defined and selected because of the high potential and importance fort he Aerospace Industries as a whole. Despite the financial and economic difficulties of the past 18-24 months, substantial investments have been made by several Aerospace related Companies and Organisations all located in the very attractive landscape of Southern Adriatic Italy.

The “Theme” of SETEC 10 stating “Advanced Composites the Driver for High Performance Return” reflects the dedication of the Aerospace Industry in Southern Italy to provide to their customer a highest possible performance, to get an excellence in service return, of all Components, Structures or entire Systems designed and processed in this South European Region.

All attendees of SETC 10 will be invited to witness the capabilities of the Aerospace Industry of this region by attending to the presentation of their papers at SETEC 10. Of course complementary papers from leading Industries being active in Research and Development, Materials, Design, Engineering and Processing coming from other European Countries, Russia or Overseas Region or Continents will provide a good reference of the latest achievements realized for the Aerospace Industry.
