An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Technical Sales Manager to take responsibility for the development and maintenance of our relationships with key wind energy accounts and blade influencers.  This role will produce business results in the region by the effective and efficient delivery of our customers’ requirements.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing the business development plan for each customer to meet all expectations for timely development of sales and initiatives
  • Implementing a schedule of visits and plans to ensure blade designers and influencers are kept up to date with Gurit's product development and initiatives
  • Providing reliable short and long term forecast input for each client to enable high service levels at lean levels of production cost and working capital
  • Negotiating and closing annual and periodic changes to contractual agreements with customers and influencers
  • Delivering annual activity, financial results and action plans to develop, grow and protect sales of products and services

The successful candidate will ideally be degree educated in a technical/engineering field with an additional business related qualification.  You will have experience working in a composite environment, preferably in the wind energy field and a technical/engineering background in composites or similar.  You will understand the production processes involved in the manufacture of wind energy composite components and have gained experience working in a technical sales environment, preferably in an Account Management or Technical Sales role.  Experience of the supply chain and commercial aspects of the composite industry would be advantageous. 

This role requires an individual with strong negotiation and technical skills.  A results driven, proactive, rigorous decision maker who is able to build strong relationships with both commercial and technical people at all levels.
