Advanced Composite Materials in Bridges and Structures
| 22 - 25 May 2012, Kingston, Ontario, Canada The 6th International Conference on Advanced Composite Materials in Bridges and Structures, ACMBS-VI, will be held in Kingston, Ontario, Canada, from 22-25 May 2012. One of the longest running conference series focusing on this topic, the conference is organized under the auspices of the ACMBS Technical Committee of the Canadian Society for Civil Engineering (CSCE) and is sponsored by the ISIS Canada Network Association. The conference is co-hosted by Queen’s University and the Royal Military College of Canada. The success of the previous conferences (Sherbrooke, 1992; Montreal, 1996; Ottawa, 2000; Calgary, 2004; and Winnipeg, 2008) has established this event as a premier forum for the exchange of knowledge and experience with the use of advanced composites in bridges and structures. Objectives The objectives of ACMBS-VI are to provide a forum for the presentation and discussion of recent developments in the use of advanced composite materials (ACM) and fibre reinforced polymers (FRP) in bridges and other structures, and to provide an opportunity for national and international delegates from ndustrial, research, and academic institutions to interact and share their knowledge, to learn about innovative technologies in the field, and to discuss future directions.For more information and a full call for papers visit http://www.acmbs2012.ca/. |
